Testing a bunch of stuff -- don't be alarmed

Peter Vleet and Maria Jordan are employees of the Global News Network. Peter is a behind the scenes producer and Maria is his primary reporter (and girlfriend).

Peter Vleet, GNN Producer
Peter Vleet is very nearly the perfect television news producer: he’s crass, cynical and cares more about any given story than he does about his reporters, videographers or even the people in the story. His eye for what’s news and his ability to push the pieces in question to do exactly what is needed to get the story has made him a success in the news business. His cynicism and seeming heartlessness has made him a failure in his personal life.

Vleet’s GNN crew was the only news crew to be broadcasting during the entire siege of Detroit. It was there he met Maria Jordan. For three days, theirs was the only voice that anyone heard from that doomed city. Over those days, he found himself caring about Maria; and months after, was able to admit that he cared about something more than a story. He and Maria have been an item ever since. Her charming and disarming ways are a near perfect counter-balance to his “story at any cost” nature.

In his spare time, he is writing a biography of the 1950s mystery man, Doctor Electric. He has written three books, all crime novels set in the south during the 1960s.

Description: Peter is average height with dark skin and hair. He has an easy smile; usually following some snide remark delivered with his rapier-like wit. He has no internal moral compass (other than “the story”).

Hunter Status: As unlikely as it is that he would be hunting anyone, he should be considered Less Powerful, but with Non-Combat Influence.
Contact Status: As a base, Peter is considered to have Useful Skills (+1), Significant Contacts (+1) and Access to Major Institutions (+1). He is unlikely to ever have a “Good relationship”.
